Guide to use PSTUPGRADE Tool

SysTools PSTUPGRADE software converts ANSI PST to Unicode PST and Unicode PST to ANSI PST. Software perform PST conversion in just three to four steps. PSTUPGRADE Tool perform PST conversion in two ways as shown under:

  • Convert Outlook ANSI PST to Outlook Unicode PST
  • Convert Outlook Unicode PST to Outlook ANSI PST

Steps to Convert MS Outlook PST File

  • Open SysTools PSTUPGRADE . Go to Start menu » Programs » SysTools PSTUPGRADE » SysTools PSTUPGRADE. Software will display the following screen:




  • Now Select the Outlook PST file. Click on Browse button or click on Open from toolbar as shown below:



  • After Clicking Browse button following screen appears:

  • Choose or select .pst file and Click on Open button.
  • As soon as you select the PST file, software will automatically recognizes the format of the PST file whether it is Unicode PST or ANSI PST as shown below:


  • Now click on Start Conversion button to start converting PST file to Unicode PST & ANSI PST file.
  • Choose the location where you want to save the contacts from the following box:



  • Click on OK button. Then software will convert the selected PST file to Unicode PSt or ANSI PST file as shown below:



  • After converting MS Outlook PST file, the software will display you the PST File Name with its location as shown below:

Steps to view Converted PST File in MS Outlook

  • Open Microsoft Outlook. Go to Start menu » Programs » Microsoft Office » Microsoft Outlook then following screen appears:


  • To view converted PST file click on Coverted PST file from the following folder structure:

Select the converted PST File and see your emails, journals, inbox, contacts, calendars etc as shown below:
